Our Story
Casa Maria Cartagena has been a labor of love for the proprietors – two Americans, one of Colombian heritage (Maria) – who fell in love and married in Cartagena.
Soon after the two met, during an enchanting walk around the old city late one evening, they knocked on the door of an old home on the street where Maria’s mother once lived. Shortly thereafter, they acquired it, and, working with the well-known colonial architect
Javier Acevedo, restored the home to its original colonial glory.
